A beautiful book, of historical Colorado maps. We got thr book from a friend and loved it. My only advice is: steer away from it! This guy is probably a good drummer, but know nothing about teaching. I followed the book's instructions to the letter, compiling and installing Berkeley DB 4.2 and passing the correct parameters to Subversion's configure script, but configure couldn't find Berkeley DB. This book is a great resource for anyone interested in starting an account on eBay, whether you're a potential buyer looking to find good deals, or whether you're a potential seller, just getting rid of extra junk lying around the house, or even considering making a living on the site. I think that version control newbies will have an easier time starting with my own book, but then will ultimately be pining for the information in Garrett's book.
