Really a great role model character. Focusing primarily on crossover styles, the manner in which African musicians have fused Western dance, jazz, pop & rock elements with traditional music last century, the book makes fascination reading and serves as an exhaustive reference. We don't have to worry about the possibility that colonialism has somehow attached itself to the English language, for example. Hope this review was helpful in making a good choice.
